How do I charge researchers (who have funding grants) based on their bookings?

You are able to force people to use a Project and Funding Code when booking certain instruments in your lab/facility by making it a requirement.

Under the “Projects” tab, you and/or other lab members can create a project and assign funding codes, expiry dates, amounts and the users allowed to use these. When booking an equipment, the user is able to select the desired Project and Code in order to record the booking cost against it.

Yes. The Projects feature is flexible enough to allow companies to use it as a tool to keep track of internal R&D project costs. Simply create a Project on the platform and select it each time you make a booking.

Can I charge different prices to different internal users?

Yes. On the Pricing section of each equipment, there is an option to Add group pricing.

Is it possible to set a price per sample/item instead of per hour?

Yes. For that, leave the Internal price (hourly price) as 0 and incorporate an Add-on. Select User specified under Quantity, you will be able to select Per sample under Unit.
