BioWednesday - One Nucleus

Repurposing drugs is becoming increasingly more popular within the industry, especially with those drugs that fall at the final hurdle. With billions of pounds spent on early phases of drug development, including drug safety, it is becoming even more popular to use the information already gained during this process and transfer it to different targets and/or therapeutic areas.

This BioWednesday will explore how drugs can be repurposed, with examples from those working in this area. It will also focus on challenges faced with obtaining patents for repurposed drugs and strategies to overcome these hurdles.
