Clustermarket is an online platform dedicated to providing access to the laboratories and research facilities of some of the world’s leading universities and research institutions at the click of a button. By using our platform scientists, engineers and other technology researchers can spend less time searching for facilities and dealing with outdated booking processes by simply renting lab equipment or booking research services within the same or from nearby institutions. Clustermarket provides you with a safe and streamlined process for communication, payment and contracting which means more time can be spent finding solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental and healthcare challenges.
We are a small but dedicated team and we’re hiring! We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Executive to help us grow our network of service providers and end-user clients within Germany. Working from our office in the Translation & Innovation Hub on Imperial College’s White City Campus, this role offers the opportunity to manage the whole sales process from lead generation through to contract negotiations and client onboarding for a fast-growing and innovative start-up.
Research and identify prospective facility providers and end-user clients
Develop and run creative email marketing campaigns for prospective clients (no cold calling!)
Qualify potential clients in person, over the phone and via video conferencing
Negotiate contract terms with new clients and ensure the CRM is kept up to date
Improve existing sales channels & processes and explore new client acquisition strategies
Maintain positive relationships with new clients after the on-boarding process
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in biology, chemistry, physics (or related scientific subject that required you to work in a laboratory)
Fluent german skills are required
Previous work or internship experience in a business development role with a track record of success
Desire to be involved and take ownership of all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to ongoing client management
Previous experience using and maintaining a CRM
Flexibility to travel to visit clients in Germany (1 week per month)
